Chairman, Board of Trustees of Kaduna State Council of Ihsan Community of Nigeria (CIMCON), Alhaji Jibo Omale, who was chief host of the occasion, congratulated the young scholars, urging them not to rest on their oars in the quest to acquire knowledge. He stressed the need for Muslims to be knowledgeable, saying that it is only when they are “well versed in Islamic knowledge that they can worship Allah as directed by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and in accordance with Shari’a.
Guest Lecturer at the graduation ceremony, Ustaz Ahmad Yusuf Kabir, who spoke on the importance of knowledge, drew a line between the learned and unlettered, saying that the two cannot be compared.
According to him, a learned person was better enriched to lead a religious and pious life than a Jahili (a stark illiterate), calling on both the teachers and the young lads to continue to seek for knowledge.
Ustaz Kabir also warned Muslims against indulging in social media activities, especially facebook, saying it morally corrupts the youth.
“It is one of the devices invented to keep Muslims away from their religion,” he said.
The headmaster of the school Ustaz Muhammad Nurudeen Abubakar said the school needed more classrooms, urging Muslims to help donate towards building them.
Highlights of the occasion were donations by guests and presentation of prizes to deserving graduating students.
