Thirty women have graduated from Madarasatul-Nurilddeenil-Islamiyya during the second edition of Qur’anic graduation of the school at Anguwar Kaura in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council.

In a speech at the graduation ceremony, the Agora of Zuba,  Alhaji Muhammed Bello Umar, commended the effort of the management of the school for sparing its time and resources to inculcate Islamic knowledge in the women.

Alhaji Umar called on government to intensify effort in establishing skills acquisition centres at the local government level so that the less privileged would learn many kinds of trade.

The traditional ruler, while pledging continuous support to the school, called on men to encourage their wives to acquire Islamic knowledge.

The Vice Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Muhammed Kassim Ikwa, said he felt happy and proud that 30 women from his community were graduating from the Islamiyya school.

Alhaji Ikwa said the number of women graduating from the Islamiyya school had clearly shown that there was awareness and zeal among women about the importance of acquiring Islamic knowledge.
