The member representing Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency of Zamfara in the House of Representatives, Honourable Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace, has emerged winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election conducted for the constituency.
Announcing the result in Gusau the Zamfara State capital, Dr. Auwal Aliyu Abdullahi, the party’s election committee chairman for the constituency said Mai Palace secured the highest number of vote cast in the direct primary mode adopted with 85,725 votes and been trailed by his closest challenger Surajo Garba with 633 votes.
Others are Mustapha Salisu Musa, 616 votes; Abdullahi Umar, 494 votes and Musa Yusuf Chafe, 463 votes.
The election which was conducted on Monday will see Mai Palace fly the APC flag in the forth coming National Assembly elections which implies a third term attempt to the Green Chamber where he chairs the Sports Committee.
