Maiden creative writing contest unveils winners

Communicators League (CL) has revealed six winners for its 2017 Creative Writing Contest. In first place, under the flash fiction category is Precious Chineye Okechukwu, for her story, ‘Makoko’. Second is Adesoji Daniel Adebayo, for ‘Number Four’, and third, Olakitan Aladesuyi Toyin, for ‘Inside the Head of an Ex-lover’.
Winners for poetry include Olumide Olaniyan (in first place) for his piece ‘Behind Closed Doors’, Alade Toheeb Oluwatoyin for ‘In the Shrine of an ‘Agbomola’’ and Amina Aboje, for her poem ‘Accused’.
The contest which was opened to creative writers from all parts of the world received 158 submissions. The flash fiction category received 50 entries while the poetry category received 108 entries.
Judges for the prize included Prof. Hulya N Yilmaz, Dr. Yinka O. Egbokhare, Dr. Soji Cole and Winifred Binogun.
