The group, known as Movement for Gender Equality Advocates (MGEA), said in a statement in Abuja yesterday that women representation is in line with the manifestos of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Khadija has been educated both within and outside Nigeria. She got her BSc in Business Studies and Sociology at the University of Surrey UK in 1989; she has enough experience through her membership of House committees, including the chairmanship of the privatization and commercialization committee,” it said.

“Going by her academic qualifications and experience in the lower chamber of the National Assembly, it is our belief that Khadija is the most suitable lady that can give the womenfolk the needed representation they deserve,” coordinator of the group Ahmadu Ibrahim said in the statement.
