She made the call in a statement issued in Abuja, yesterday, reminding women of their role in ensuring peace and using their number to effect changes that will better their lives and that of their children.
“As we reflect on the historic challenges which this patriotic responsibility bestows on our shoulders, it is necessary that I urge women in states of the federation to engage the forthcoming exercise with a deep sense of purpose and commitment as they did during the just concluded presidential election.”
She emphasised that women should avoid sentiments when exercising their franchise and embrace practices that will strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
The women leader called on women to utilise their numerical advantage to align their states with the emerging national political happenings in the country.
