Makinde nominates ex-lawmakers, others as commissioners

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Thursday nominated four former lawmakers in the Oyo state House of Assembly for the position of commissioners in the state.
Among the lawmakers are; former speaker of the State Assembly, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola; Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Hon. Ojemuyiwa Ojekunle and Hon. Adeniyi Farinto.
Hon. Orisadeyi from Ibarapa land is the only female among the 14 nominees for the position of commissioner in the state.
The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin who read the letter from the Governor on the floor of the house on Thursday said screening date would be announced later.
Other nominees according to the speaker include a former caretaker chairman, Ibadan Northwest local government, Mr. Wasiu Olatubosun; Prof. Oyewo Oyelowo; Prof. Daud Sangodoyin; and Mr. Akinola Ojo.
Others are Adeniyi Adebisi; Lasunkanmi Ojeleye; Seun Asamu; Rahmon Abdulraheem; Chief Bayo Lawal and Dr Bashir Bello.
The Speaker directed all the nominees to submit 14 copies of their CV on or before Friday, August 2, for screening.
