The minister made this observation recently while inspecting 173-unit mass housing scheme located on the Zaria express bypass during the National Good Governance Tour team.
The minister who was represented by his Special Assistant on Media Mr Kingsley Osadolor said developers in the country are in the habit of building houses without infrastructures because they know people are desperate to move into these houses.
“Developers need to cultivate the habit of putting in place infrastructure before completion of the houses to ensure favourable living for the residents,” the minister expressed.
Mr Richard Aboki who is the MD/CEO Kaduna State Development Company Limited said the houses were built for Kaduna State civil servants adding that they have reached completion stage of 98 percent.
Aboki said it took 38 contractors two-and-a-half years to complete the estate which cost about N1.2 billion funded by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.
He announced that allocation of the houses will be done through lot.
