How would Malala help to rescue the abducted Chibok schoolgirls? Why did she choose to make this visit after 89 days of the abduction? Who would host Malala: the federal government or the #BringBackOurGirls# campaigners who have been wasting their time and energy campaigning for the release of those girls?
Unfortunately, the presence of military experts from the United States of America, Israel and other countries, has not yielded any result. Of what benefit is Malala’s visit? I asked again. She was lucky not to have been kidnapped. She actually undertook a very dangerous venture. The truth is that the story would have been different if the federal government did not give her protection.
I noticed that, while the federal government wanted to use the visit to boost its image, the #BringBackOurGirls# campaigners planned to use it to prove to the world that the Nigerian government has failed to rescue the girls and protect others.
As far as I am concerned, the visit is of no effect on the efforts to bring back the girls. It is time for Nigerians to stop politicising a very serious national case like this. Let us allow security agencies to do their job, just as we wait for God’s intervention.
I pray that those girls would soon be rescued and returned to their parents in good condition. May God destroy evil doers and bring peace to our dear country.
