In the near future many people will shun political offices because it no longer suits their foretaste. Public office is no longer an avenue to steal, the system under President Buhari is apparently becoming corrupt-free. Therefore, defalcators may stay away from any appointment. At last, we are getting the right signal that Nigeria is moving towards sound direction.
But for Mama Pauline Tallen, she rejected the ambassadorial nomination for the good cause not out of fear or awe rather it was for repudiation of unfair and unjustifiable discriminations in appointments in order to balance same in the best interest of peace loving people of Plateau state. As a politician she wants to see that every senatorial zone is fully represented. And as a responsible spouse she wants to give adequate mental focus to her husband deteriorating health.
In fact, her motherliness portrays her as prudent, sagacious, circumspect and compassionate. I must confess the facts in 2011 governorship election and to boldly say, indeed we really missed the golden chance of electing Mama Pauline as a governor of Plateau state. She would have carried us to the best destination where justice, equity and fairness prevailed.
Instead, we blindly and outrageously go for a man (Senator Jonah David Jang) who sagaciously succeeded at destroying the spirit of togetherness and installed impunity. And also characterised the state resources, political positions and federal allocations as Berom heritage and equally ruined the glory of peaceful coexistence,
malevolently, and create enmity among citizens.
We could see that even the opposition (PDP) could not utter a word when Mama Pauline’s action avers the fact that Governor Simon Lalong administration is unbiased, impartial and willing to carry everyone along.
On his part, Governor Lalong confirmed he wasn’t aware of the ambassadorial list else he would have advice the president to pick from central zone. That also shows the era of God-fatherism is over.
