The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arraigned a 20-year-old man, Olanrewaju Oderinde, before a Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, for allegedly dealing in 500grammes of Indian hemp.

The prosecutor, Mrs Beatrice Igbaraese, briefed the court yesterday that Oderinde committed the offence on January 10, 2020 at the Ikare motor park, Ado-Ekiti.

Igbaraese, who did not oppose the bail application by the defence counsel, asked the court for an adjournment for her to prepare properly for the case.

According to her, the defendant had pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge the NDLEA levelled against him.

His defence counsel, Mr Olatunde Olayemi, prayed the court for bail in favour of his client.

The judge, Justice Uchena Agomoh, granted Oderinde bail in the sum of N200,000 and one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till March 26, 2020 for trial.
