Man, 22, arraigned over phone theft

A 22-year-old man, Chibuzor Igwe, was yesterday arraigned in court for allegedly stealing an Infinix phone valued at N35,000 and a cash sum of N150,000, property of Mr Temitope Ajibade.
Igwe was arraigned at the Ogba magistrate court on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Kenrich Nomayo, said that the accused committed the offence on October 19, 2018 at about 0800hrs at House 1, ‘A’, Close 31, Gowon Estate, Alimosho, Lagos.
Igwe, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
The presiding magistrate, Mrs T.A Ojo, granted him bail of N80,000, with two responsible sureties and adjourned the case till November 15, 2018 for further mention.
