The magistrate, Mr Oke Obaleye of an Abeokuta magistrate court sentenced the convict, Ismail Ayo, on a two-count charge of breaking-in and stealing.
Obaleye held that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that the convict was guilty as charged.
He, thereafter, sentenced Ayo to six months imprisonment with an option of N60,000 fine.
The prosecutor, Insp Matthew Famuyiwa, had earlier told the court that the convict committed the offence on Nov. 17, 2018 at Obada Oko area of Abeokuta.
Famuyiwa said the convict broke into the house of one Mr Ekundayo Boboye and stole a Samsung S5 phone valued at N120,000, and a Silver wrist watch valued at N15,000, all valued at N135,000.
The prosecutor noted that the offences contravened sections 411 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Ogun State, 2006. (NAN)
