The police in Katsina State have a 26-year-old man for allegedly planning to kidnap a business man in the state.

The suspect, Musa Ibrahim of Yarmalai Fulani settlement camp have confessed to the offence, according to a statement by the spokesman of Katsina police command, SP Gambo Isah

Isah said the suspect, alongside one Ado Maiunguwa, who is presently on the run had on January 3 at about 16:00hrs, planned to kidnap one Alhaji Gajere, of the same address.

According to him, the duo had requested the sum of N1million as a ransom from the victim or risk being kidnapped.

“In the course of investigation, the sum of N60,000, was recovered as an exhibit in the house of the suspect as part payment being paid by the victim to the kidnappers,” he said.
