The Comptroller of the NCS, Ogun State Command, Ahmad Jamo, who made the disclosure while briefing newsmen at Idiroko on the recent seizures of the command, hinted that Godwin was arrested on March 21, at Imeko/Olorunda area of the command, while trying to smuggle the weeds into the country.

Jamo who lamented the seizure of the illicit drug, noted that the porous nature of the entry-points into the country hasmade it possible for the striving business, “but I want to assure that we shall not rest on our oars to ensure that smuggling is reduced if not completely eradicated in the country. You can imagine the devastating effect of the drug on their consumers if it had been allowed into the public,” he disclosed.

The suspect, the Comptroller hinted, has been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for necessary action.
