The police have arraigned a 28-year-old Falana Ayomide in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has for allegedly stealing a Techno Poco 3LA phone worth N47,500.

Police Prosecutor Sgt. Sodiq Adeniyi told the court yesterday that on November 20, 2021, at about 1:00am, opposite Federal Polytechnic Satellite campus NTA road, Ado-Ekiti, the suspect stole the Techno phone belonging to one Bakare Temitope.

Sgt. Adeniyi said the phone was loaded with N40,000 recharge card and N10,000 worth of data.

According to the prosecutor, the offence committed is contrary to and punishable under sections 390 and 419 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Vol.1 Laws of Ekiti State Nigeria 2012.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister M. O. Adefisayo, urged the court to grant his client bail, that he would abide by the bail conditions.

The magistrate, Mrs. Mojisola Salawu, granted bail of N20,000 with one surety and adjourned the case to January 25, 2022, for mention.
