A 28-year-old man, Oladare Kolade, has been dragged before an Ore magistrate court sitting in Odigbo, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, for allegedly stealing goods worth N165,900.
Kolade, who has no fixed address, is facing a two- count charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Usifoh James, told the court that the defendant allegedly stole a pair of shoes and white slippers valued at N35,000, property of Olumide Adegunlehin, on December 23, 2018, at about 12.30pm, at Peace Reign Supermarket, Sabo Road, Ore, Ondo State.
James also said that the defendant, on November 9, 2019, at about 2.30pm at Idimango Street, Ore, stole drinks worth thousands of naira.
Kolade pleaded not guilty and his counsel, Mr Rufus Omotayo, urged the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The magistrate granted the accused person bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in the like sum, and adjourned the case to November 28, 2019 for mention.
