The suspect was arrested in Magama Jibia of Jibia town in Katsina State, a border town with Niger Republic with several bureau de change and passengers commuting between the two countries.
The suspect, Sanusi Sada, a resident of Kwado Quarters in Katsina metropolis, was arrested on November 29 while trying to dupe an unsuspecting member of the public, the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, said.
Wakili added that a day earlier, the command also arrested one Shamsudin Salisu, 25, of Maigamji village, Funtua LGA of the state in possession of 182 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 176 Exol-5 tablets, 16 sachets of Diazapam tablets, 15 tablets of Tramadol and 395 tablets of D5.
He said investigations have commenced on both cases and that the suspects would be charged to court when they are concluded.
