Man, 37, arraigned over false pretence

A 37-year-old man, Yinka Agboola, has been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti magistrate court over alleged false pretence. A 37-year-old man, Yinka Agboola, has been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti magistrate court over alleged false pretence.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Monica Ikebuilo, informed the court that Agboola committed the offence sometime in 2018 in Ado-Ekiti.

Ikebuilo alleged that the accused person unlawfully, employing false pretence, obtained plumbing materials worth N1.5 million from Mr Eze Emmanuel.

Agboola pleaded not guilty.

His counsel, Mr Stephen Ademuagun, asked the court to grant his client bail in liberal terms, with a promise he would not jump bail.

The magistrate, Adefunke Anoma, granted Agboola bail in the sum of N50,000, with one surety in like sum, and adjourned the case till September 24, 2019 for further hearing.
