A forty-year-old man, identified as Abubakar Isa of Hawan-Dawaki quarters, Kumbotso local government area of Kano state has been arraigned before a magistrate court for allegedly defiling minors.

Isa was charged for 2-count charge of unnatural offence and act of gross indecency contrary to sections 284 and 285 of the Penal Code Law.

The Prosecution Officer, Inspector Umar Tahir, told the court that the accused had developed the habit of deceiving minors on the pretext of giving them medicine for bed wetting, but ended up having carnal intercourse with them.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges when the charge sheet was read to him.

The presiding Judge, Chief Magistrate Maryam Ahmad Sabo ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody.
