A 42-year-old man, Ode Jonah was on Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrate’s court for fraud.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Ben Gbokhin told the court that the suspect, Ode Jonah (aged 42) committed the offence sometimes in May 2017, at Ikeja Lagos.

He said the suspect attempted to defraud one Mr. Matthew Yilbial of a total sum of N380,000 under the pretence of procuring employment for him at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture with an intention to defraud him.

The suspect pleaded guilty to the two-count charge levelled against him.

The court Magistrate, Mrs Akokhia, granted the accused bail in the sum of N300,000 with tax documents and address verification.

She adjourned the case till January 23, 2018.
