Detectives attached to the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 52-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing his stepdaughter.

The 19-year-old victim had alleged that her step-father, one Akin Olatilu, had sexually abused her since she was 14-year-old.

The victim said she was forced to speak out when her step-father lied to her mother that she was becoming wayward simply because she refused to let him have his way with her.

“I was given the beating of my life by my own mother who did not know the pains I was going through.

“I vowed to expose him on that day for telling lies against me after sexually abusing me,” she added.

Spokesman of the command, Bala Elkana, confirmed the report. He explained further that the 19-year-old girl made the allegation on June 14.

He said the girl alleged further that she reported the matter to her mother but that her mother did not take any action.
