A 63-year-old man, identified as Safiyanu, has been found dead on his fadama farm in Tungan Sarki village in Dafa ward of Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

A resident of Tungan Sarki, Ado Saidu, said the incident happened on Saturday, around 6:32pm, when the man’s lifeless body was found on the farm.

He said the deceased and some of his colleagues, who were into dry season farming, went to the farm on Saturday, saying they left the deceased at the farm around 5pm.

He said the deceased asked his colleagues to go while he finished weeding the remaining portion of his maize farm.

He said around 7pm when the man did not return, the villagers mobilised to the farm.

He said on getting the farm, the villagers found the man’s lifeless body, adding that vigilantes were invited, who took him to a hospital in Dafa, where a doctor confirmed him dead.

He said the remains of the deceased were buried on that Saturday evening after other farmers contacted his relations in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Saidu said security personnel at Dafa were informed, who also came to see the corpse before it was buried.
