The police in Ijebu-Ode Ogun State have arrested a 70- year-old man for allegedly defiling two underage girls “after luring them with meat pie”.

The command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement said Sunday Tugbobo was arrested following a complaint by the father of one of the victims.

The complainant was said to have reported at Igbeba Divisional Headquarters that the suspect, who is a co-tenant had unlawful carnal knowledge of his 7-year-old daughter.

The complainant reportedly said the landlord caught the suspect in the act and informed him of the alleged offence.

Upon his arrest and interrogation, the suspect was said to have confessed that he committed the crime.

“He (suspect) also admitted that he lured the two minors to his room with meat pie at different times where he had carnal knowledge of them,” Oyeyemi said.

He disclosed that the victims had been taken to Ijebu-Ode general hospital for medical examination.
