Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested 20-year-old Aliyu Haman for the alleged killing of his brother in Delta State.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Edafe Bright, said the suspect was arrested following a report that he had stabbed his brother to death.

According to the police, a report was received indicating that a man residing at Poly Road, near the Adaigbo Filling Station in Ogwashi-Uku, stabbed his brother while the latter was asleep.

The police added that upon receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ogwashi-Uku Division, CSP Israel Okoyomon, promptly mobilized detectives to the scene and arrested the suspect.

Bright added that preliminary investigations confirmed the deceased was allegedly stabbed by his brother.

He added that the weapon used in committing the crime has been recovered.

He said the suspect remains in custody while investigations are ongoing.
