A 22-year-old man, Ibrahim Abba of Sauka Kahuta Area of Minna, Niger State, has allegedly stabbed his friend, Usman Abubakar, to death after a misunderstanding.
The suspect, a neighbour to the deceased, reportedly stabbed him with a pair of scissors on his stomach, leading to his death.
The spokesman for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Minna.
Abiodun said, “On December 15, 2024, at about 1930hrs, one Usman Abubakar of Sauka Kahuta was reportedly stabbed in the chest by one Ibrahim Abba over a misunderstanding.

“He was rushed to the General Hospital, Minna where he was confirmed dead.
“Police operatives from Tudun Wada Division moved to the scene and three suspects were arrested in connection with the crime – Ibrahim Abba, 22, Mustapha Mohammed, 24 and Abdullahi Yusuf, 22, all of Sauka Kahuta, Minna.”
