A male resident of Sharada area of Kano state has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court no 28 of Gyadi-Gyadi quarters for criminal trespass and intimidation.

According to the Police First Information Report, the accused person Muttaqa Muhammad was reported to the police by one Hamza Muhammad of Sharada, who informed the police that the accused had trespassed into his house and threatened to set the house on fire.

“When you (Muttaqa Muhammad) were caught in the complainant’s house, you used a fork and attacked the complainant,” the FIR added.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to the two count charge of criminal trespass and criminal intimidation which contradicted sections 342 and 397 of Penal Code Law.

The Senior Magistrate presiding over the court, Hajara Garba granted the accused person bail on condition to present his father and the ward head of his area and adjourned the case to April 17, 2017.
