The brother to a divorcee, Waheed Babajide, has been arraigned before an Ejigbo magistrates’ court, Lagos, for helping his sister to bolt away with her husband’s car.
The accused was said to have followed his sister to trail her husband, Kareem, to a hotel on Okoji Street, Cele-Egbd, where he was lodging, used a spare key and bolted away with his vehicle.

The prosecutor, Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the woman conspired with the accused and some other persons, now at large, and made away with the man’s Toyota Camry with regis-tration number: FST 729 GS.
He said, “My lord, the complainant raised alarm within the hotel premises. He was later informed that some people drove the car out of the hotel.
“The matter was reported to the Ikotun Division. It led to the arrest of Waheed Babajide who was later identified as a brother to the estranged wife.
The Magistrate, Mrs K. A. Ariyo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned to November 22, 2022.
