Man arraigned for stealing goat in Ekiti

 

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a 35-year-old man, Adebayo Wasiu, before a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly conspiring with another man (now at large) to steal a goat valued at N50,000.

The prosecutor, Inspector Elejah Adejare, told the court that the suspects stole the goat from the premises of one Abdulraheem Idowu in Ado-Ekiti.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Michael Olaleye, urged the court to grant his client bail in liberal terms, promising that he would not jump bail.

The Magistrate, Mr Tomiwa Daramola, granted him bail in the sum ofN20,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 30.
