The Lagos State Police Command on Friday arraigned one Mr. Lateef Adejare before Ogba Magistrate’s Court, for allegedly stealing a Bajaj motorcycle worth N170, 000.
Adejare was arraigned before magistrate O.A Raji on one-count charge bordering on theft.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Ejigbo Innocent, told the court that the accused committed the offence on October 6, 2017 along Agege road, Lagos.
Sgt. Innocent said the stolen Bajaj motorcycle belonged to one Mr. Ojo Adeniyi.
The prosecutor further told the court that the offence committed was punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, Nigeria.
The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against him.
The magistrate, Mrs. O.A Raji granted the defendant a bail of N100, 000 with one surety.
She then adjourned the case until December 6 for hearing.
