A male resident of Wudil town in Wudil local government area of Kano state, Magaji Dauda has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate court for criminal trespass and mischief.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the offences were contrary to Sections 342 and 327 of the Penal Code Law.
The court heard that one Ibrahim Adamu of Kura town reported to the police that he received a phone call from Malam Yahaya, a neighbor to his uncompleted building at Wailari Quarters Kano that the accused person had trespassed into his uncompleted building and demolished some parts of it.
When the FIR was read to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Judge, Chief Magistrate Fatihu Yassar granted the accused bail at the sum N100, 000 and adjourned the case to 6th March 2018 for continuation.
