A 37-year-old man, Ayoade Ololade, on Tuesday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over alleged house breaking and stealing.
Ololade, whose address was not provided, was charged with house breaking and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, ASP Musbau Lawal, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Aug. 7, at about 10 am, in the Soka area of Ibadan.
Lawal alleged that the defendant broke and entered the house of one Yusuf Adeeko and stole some items which included phones, laptops, a bag, and a flask.
He said the offences contravened Sections 411 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mr. Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
He said that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant and one closely related to him.
The case was adjourned till December 16, for hearing.
