The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a man, Lucky Isaac (29), before a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged fraudulent trick to obtain N296,000.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant, on December 28, 2024, at Ido-Ekiti, fraudulently failed to supply planks meant for roofing after receiving payment.
He further alleged that on January 2, 2026, the defendant threatened violence against the complainant, Adelani Oyatoye contrary to Sections 329 and 69(a) of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister O. G. Abiola, urged the court to admit his client to bail.
The Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned to January 26.
