A 46 year old man, identified as Bashiru Alhassan has been arrested by vigilantes for allegedly buying stolen transformer cables from hoodlums at Kuchiyako in the Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A member of the vigilante, simply identified as Ishaku said the man was arrested on Tuesday, around 5:23 pm after two suspected hoodlums were arrested for vandalising transformer cables in the area.
He said the suspects, who confessed to stealing the cables led some vigilantes to the house of the buyer at the council.
He said the suspects were arrested during vigilantes patrol around the Kuchiyako area, adding that the suspects have also confessed to stealing another cables at Shadadi in the metropolis of the council two weeks ago.

The vigilante member said the suspects and the buyer have been handed over to security agents in the area.
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine is yet to confirm the arrest as at the time of filing the report.
