Vigilantes have arrested a 47-year-old man, Rayyanu Bala, for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 13- year-old daughter in Unguwar Shadadi in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
A resident of Shadadi, Ibrahim Kabiru, said the incident happened on Sunday, around 11:23 am when the suspect allegedly held down his neighbour’s daughter, who took sallah food to him in his house.
He said the man lured the girl with N500 after receiving the food, into his room and allegedly defiled her.
A vigilante in the area, Dantani Alhassan, confirmed the incident, saying the man has confessed to the crime.
The spokeswoman of the FCT police command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment and police in the area said the incident was not reported to them.
