The police at Gwarinpa division have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his friend during a fight. 

A police source said two persons were fighting over the right to stay at a construction site at Katampe Extension last Tuesday at midnight. 

The security guard at the site had evicted the victim over allegation of untoward behaviour but the victim insisted on staying at the site. 

The source said it was during the misunderstanding that one of them identified as Sadiq removed a knife and stabbed the other person on the chest with it. 

The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, confirmed the incident. 

He said the victim was taken to the National Hospital while the suspect was arrested. 

“The victim is responding to treatment,” Sabo said when our reporter reached him yesterday.
