A man, Jubril Abdullai (36), has been arrested by the Edo State Security Network over alleged sodomy involving five underage males in Edo State.

The suspect was arrested in the Aduwawa/Urora axis near Benin City in Uhunmwonde LGA.

The suspect, who allegedly lured his victims with gifts, was alleged to have performed the act on at least five underage victims.

It was gathered that the suspect was arrested after one of his 12-year-old victims fell ill and was taken to a hospital for treatment, following which medical personnel diagnosed the boy with an ailment in the anal area, with further medical examination revealing that the minor had been violated repeatedly.

Sources said the victim eventually revealed to his family how the suspect had been having carnal knowledge of him.

Following the arrest, families of three other victims reportedly came forward to report cases of sexual assault perpetrated by the suspect.

The Deputy Corps Commander, Richard Balogun, said the suspect had been handed over to the police.
