A 28-year-old man, Seyi Adelana, is facing interrogation by the police at the Gender Unit of the Lagos State command on  an allegation that he abducted two teenage boys he kept in his apartment for some days.

Aside abducting the boys, the suspect is also being accused of sodomizing them. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, who paraded the suspect yesterday at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja, said that the Gender section was investigating a case of sodomy reported by the mother of a 17-year-old boy against Adelana.

Edgal said that the complainant had reported that her son suddenly disappeared from home on January 3, 2019 without any trace of where he had gone to. A search party was then raised to look for him.

He said that four days after, on January 7, 2019, the search party found the boy in the suspect’s house at No. 11, Itumaro Street, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.

“When the young boy was debriefed at the Gender Unit, he narrated that the suspect kept him in his house and had been having anal sex with him. He also mentioned the name of one other boy whom the suspect had been sexually abusing,” he said.

Edgal said Adelana had confessed to committing the crime.
