The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, for allegedly killing two persons and injuring three others in a stabbing incident at Olámbe in Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the suspect attacked the victims with a knife following a dispute linked to a failed business deal.

“The victims were trying to calm him down when the attack occurred,” the statement said.

Babaseyi disclosed that the incident happened on April 7, 2026, at about 1:38 a.m., when the suspect allegedly stabbed five persons.

He identified the deceased as Gbadamasi Ibrahim, 25, and Chinedu, 40, who reportedly died while being rushed to hospital, where a doctor confirmed them dead.

The police spokesperson added that the three injured victims—Mohammed Abubakar, 35; Ashiru Adamu, 25; and Paul Lawrence, 25—are currently receiving treatment and responding, although they were initially in critical condition.

“The suspect fled the scene after the attack but was later apprehended by detectives. He is now in custody, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution,” he said.

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, condemned the incident and assured that justice would be served. He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
