A 35-year-old man, Solomon Balogun, whose gang operates on motorcycles in rural communities in Lagos State has been arrested.
The suspect was arrested on January 27, 2023, at the Iba area by detectives from Isashi Police Station.
City & Crime reports that before his arrest, the suspect and two others were sighted firing guns after robbing shops in the area.
It was learnt that the suspect and his gang targeted POS operators, viewing centres and betting centres.

Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect said though the suspects escaped, one of them who was later identified as Solomon Balogun.
He further said, “The suspect was arrested after information was received that three men on a motorcycle were robbing people of their possessions.
“A pistol and live cartridges were recovered from the suspect and investigation is ongoing.”
