A 44-year-old man, Bolaji Kazeem Folahanmi, is telling the police at the Federal Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Lagos State Command, all he knows about a bag found on him.

  According to the police, the bag contained nine toy guns, police T-shirts and a bullet-proof vest.

 Folahanmi, of No. 44, Afolabi Street, Shibiri, Ajangbadi, Lagos, was arrested on May 17, 2018 at about 4:30p.m. by a team of policemen attached to the Ilemba Hausa police station.

 The Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, who confirmed the arrest, said that when the policemen stopped the suspect to search his bag, they found in it three police T-shirts, two police bullet-proof vests, one police baton, two long toy guns, seven short toy guns and one police belt.

  “When he saw the police team, he diverted to another road. This action of his aroused the curiosity of the policemen who subsequently went after him. He also attempted to drop the bag inside a swamp before the team caught up with him. A search on him revealed the items,” Edgal said.

 He alleged that the suspect and his gang members had been using the toy gun to rob innocent members of the public.
