A man, simply identified as Shuaibu, has been arrested by vigilantes with a stolen bag of beniseed at Yaba village market in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
Beniseed is among farm produce that attract high prices in the markets now, with a 50kg bag sold at between N180,000 and N200,000.
A member of the vigilantes in Yaba, simply identified as Salisu, said the incident happened on Sunday, the community’s market day, around 3pm.

He said the suspect allegedly stole a bag loaded with beniseed at a farm in neigbouring Zago village in Niger State and took it to Yaba village in the FCT to sell, where he was apprehended.
