A Federal High Court in Makurdi, Benue State on Tuesday sentenced one Otene Paul Olafikwu to two years imprisonment for committing offence bordering on the possession of fake currencies.
Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon who convicted Olafikwu, also handed him an option of N100,000 fine over his involvement in the possession and altering of two units of counterfeit fifty United States Dollar notes.
The convict was arraigned before the court on a two-count charge alongside three others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Makurdi Zonal office.
