A Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has ordered the remand of one Fadare Ojo Femi (34) at the police station (RRS Office) over alleged Advance Fee Fraud.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that there were multiple complaints of conspiracy and fraud amounting to about N10 million against the suspect.

Inspector Oriyomi said the suspect hacked into the account of a retiree, Victoria Olusola, and defrauded her of N10 million.

The prosecutor requested that a motion be granted to allow the police to lawfully detain the suspect for 14 days pending the conclusion of their investigation.

Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted the application and adjourned until August 29, for mention.
