A 31-year-old Stephen Moses was on Tuesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly defrauding his boss to the tune of N583,600.
Moses, whose address was not provided, was charged with obtaining money under false pretense, stealing, and threat to life.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp. Adeshina Folaranmi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 9 at about 8pm at the Ologuneru area of Ibadan.
Folaranmi alleged that the defendant obtained the sum of N583,600 from the customers of his boss, Mrs. Theresa Iwhewhe, without her consent.
He alleged that the defendant converted the money to his personal use and also threatened to kill his boss, the complainant, without any reasonable grounds.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until February 4, 2026, for hearing. (NAN)
