Man charged with fraud in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a 30-year-old man, Jemiseye Ayo, before a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged fraudulent conversion of cash to personal use.

The prosecutor, Inspector Olasunkanmi Bamikole, told the court that on June 7,  in the Omisanjana area in Ado-Ekiti, the defendant fraudulently converted N80,000 to his own use, the property of one Sunday Yahaya.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister E. O. Summonu, urged the court to grant bail to his client.

The Magistrate, Mr Saka Afunso, granted bail of N20,000 and one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to August 17.
