The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 35-year-old man before the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged case of unlawful grazing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on November 9, 2025, at about 10 pm, the defendant unlawfully grazed his cattle in an unauthorized place.
Inspector Oriyomi said the offence is contrary to Section 2 of the Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti State Law, 2016.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Oluwafemi Alabi, urged the court to admit his client to bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until November 19, for hearing.
