A 29-year-old man, Olanipekun Adisa, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged possession of illicit drugs.

Adisa, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of possession of illicit drugs.

The prosecutor, Insp Elijah Adejare, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 3, at about 05.40 pm in Erio-Ekiti.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and his counsel. Femi Olarewaju, urged the court to grant him bail, the request, Chief Magistrate Kehinde Awosika granted in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until April 28 for hearing. (NAN)
