A 41-year- old man, Kasimu Saka, has been brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing a ram valued at N40, 000.
Saka, whose address was not provided, is being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Insp. Samad Aliu, Saka and others now at large conspired and stole the ram owned by Mr Adesola Adeyemi of Fagbemi Street, Ring Road, Ibadan. He said the offences were committed on Aug. 21 at 8.00 p.m. at Fagbemi Street.
The offences contravened Sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State 2000. The accused pleaded not guilty. The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi, in her ruling, granted the accused bail in the sum of N40,000 with two sureties in like sum adjourned the case until Oct. 4 for hearing. (NAN)
