The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a 40-year-old man, Olarewaju Mustapha, at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants and others, now at large, on May 5 at about 10 pm at Ipole-Iloro-Ekiti, conspired to steal five goats, valued at N600,000. Inspector Oriyomi said the offence was punishable under Section 421, 302(1)(a) and (c) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021. Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Michael Olaleye, sought for his bail in a liberal term.

The Chief Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with a surety in like sum and adjourned the case till June 2, for hearing.
